Welcome to the Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP)’s electronic training course website!
To enable long-distance learning opportunities for those who are involved in refugee sponsorship, we offer online training courses on the topics of resettlement and private sponsorship of refugees to members of the sponsorship community across Canada. These courses are designed to provide basic and advanced level information that enhances the work of sponsoring groups.
At the moment we offer an introductory course and an advanced level course. The introductory e-training course is a 10-week program that is offered three times a year. The advanced level course can be commenced at any time of the year as it follows a self-study structure and can be completed within 5 weeks up to months depending on the participant’s availability and pace of learning.
For more information including the starting time of the next e-training session and registration details please visit our website.

About the RSTP
The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) is a program designed to support the Sponsorship Agreement Holders (SAHs) of Canada, their Constituent Groups, Groups of Five and Community Sponsors on a national level (excl. Quebec). The objective of the RSTP is to address their information and on-going training needs as well as the initial information needs of sponsored refugees.
The RSTP works closely with the SAH Council and the broader sponsorship community. It is supported by an Advisory Committee, who represent the various voices of the diverse SAH community across the Pacific, Prairies, Atlantic and central Canada (excl. Quebec). The committee provides guidance and planning assistance to the RSTP.
